Adani’s Carmichael coal mine is fundamentally at odds with protecting the Great Barrier Reef from climate change. It’s also an incredibly risky financial investment with a false promise of jobs. Yet politicians have pledged $1 billion in public funding to the project. We’re a group of Australian scientists & citizens calling for no public funding for Adani’s mine.

Dear Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Minister For Northern Australia Matthew Canavan,

I urge you to consider the insurmountable economic, health, and climate risks posed by the Carmichael coal mine and withdraw all Government support and funding immediately.
