Hello,

I’m writing to you because it’s time to end fossil fuel sponsorships in Australia.

Corporations that dig up and burn coal, oil and gas are driving the climate crisis, and we’re already living with the consequences; sporting grounds torn up by raging floodwaters, events cancelled because of scorching heat or bushfire smoke. This is climate change and it's harming Australians and our way of life.

Yet from art galleries and museums, to community festivals and the local footy club, polluting fossil fuel companies continue to slap their logos across so many of our nation’s favourite things.

This is unacceptable, especially as so many of us are experiencing more frequent and severe extreme weather events, like heatwaves, drought, storms, flooding and bushfires. Just this past July, the world experienced its hottest month on record, and worse will be on the way if we don’t all do our part to get emissions plummeting.

I want to see all organisations commit to ending harmful fossil fuel sponsorships and refuse to take fossil fuel money, now and into the future.
